What you’ll learn
- how to approach your global market entry strategy
- how to use digital technology to expand the reach of your business overseas
- how to plan the practical side of entering new global markets
Description
This session will discuss the need for strategic planning and how to develop an understanding of your target region.
It will look at how using thorough market research will help identify demand, local competitors, cultural nuances and regulatory requirements.
Then it will show you how to utilise market reports and industrial analysis as well as trade associations to gain insights.
You will need to develop a tailored market entry approach. Will you sell directly to your customers or use local distributors or agents? Or perhaps you will establish a physical presence through joint ventures (JVs) or wholly owned subsidiaries?
The session will cover how you can leverage digital platforms to expand reach, in particular using e-commerce platforms and social media as well as localised websites to help build brand awareness.
