Innovating with Data: Masterclass for SMEs
This workshop from the Hartree Centre North East Hub will cover a wide range of topics related to data-driven innovation, including an introduction to the concept, an exploration of data sources and analysis, a discussion of innovation models and toolkits, case studies, and implementation strategies. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, such as focus groups, to identify new projects and services.
What's On?
Throughout the day, we will delve into the world of data-driven innovation and learn about a wide range of topics. This will include:
Introduction to Innovating with Data: Setting the stage for the workshop, this session will introduce the concept of data-driven innovation.
What is Data?: We will delve into the world of data, exploring various sources of data, methods of analysis, visualisation techniques, machine learning and LLMs.
What is Innovation?: This session will cover interpretations of innovation, the different types of innovation, the role of data in driving innovation and how to foster a culture of innovation.
Value Innovation: A deep dive into the value innovation method including practical sessions on how to identify your most important customer within a value chain, how do build As-Is and To-Be value curves together with group participation in contextual interviews.
Case Studies: We will share case studies of successful data-driven innovation projects, highlighting the challenges faced, solutions implemented, and outcomes achieved.
Focus Groups: In groups, delegates will participate in focus groups to identify innovative ideas for projects and services using the various tools and techniques previously discussed.
By the end of the workshop, delegates will have a comprehensive understanding of data-driven innovation, its power, and its potential impact on their organisations. They will be equipped with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to identify and develop innovative ideas, solutions, and services that drive growth and success.

- This workshop is only open to SMEs.

- No previous coding experience is required for this workshop.
