Marketing and Audience Engagement - A guide to growing your audience
Join North Tyneside VODA for this workshop to learn more about marketing your venue and how best to engage your community and beyond.
If you run a community venue, run community events or want to maximise use of your premises and want to know more about how to boost footfall, then this workshop is for you.
Learn about mailing lists, social media, websites, design work, algorithms and analytics, and more, as well as a healthy amount of time dedicated to just answering your questions. It can all feel very overwhelming knowing where to start when it comes to marketing, so this workshop is designed to be accessible and easy to understand, breaking down jargon and giving you practical tools, skills, support and most importantly confidence to better market your organisation and its facilities. You'll be left with some useful resources to use as you like too.
This workshop is led by Si Beckwith, who is a stand-up comedian, with over a decade of experience as an arts marketer. Si has worked in press and PR as a freelancer and was NARC Magazine's web editor for a number of years. As well as marketing his own comedy and comedy nights, Si has run marketing campaigns for Newcastle Castle, The Cultural Spring, Alphabetti Theatre and worked as a freelancer on various arts projects. Si is a respected arts marketer who is a trustee for both North Tyneside Art Studio and The Queen's Hall in Hexham as well as a board member of Felt Nowt. He has experience throughout comedy, music, arts, theatre, community arts, community organisations, volunteer-lead organisations, and heritage.
The workshop is for employees of voluntary and community organisations, particularly those who have responsibility for running a venue. This workshop will take place at VODA's office in Wallsend from 10am to 1pm and is for VCSE groups and organisations based in North Tyneside, Newcastle & Northumberland.
