Local businesses are invited to learn about potential supply chain opportunities with the Eastern Green Link 1 project in the North East.
The project is a joint venture between SP Energy Networks and National Grid Electricity Transmission, in collaboration with our contractors GE ernova, Murphy Group, Prysmian and Metlen.
Eastern Green Link 1 is a two gigawatt high voltage direct current electrical superhighway to be built between the Torness area in East Lothian and Hawthorn Pit in Co Durham. In Co Durham, early work has commenced to develop a converter station, substation and underground cabling.
This project has the potential to create local business opportunities in the following sectors:

- Mechanical & Electrical (Fire & Ventilation)
