This Sector Connector workshop will be delivered by leading mindfulness practitioner Alan Ross, and will explore the relationship between mindfulness and productivity.

Alan is Managing Partner at ARK Associates, and has been coaching at director level for 28 years. He is an Honorary Fellow at Durham University Business School - working on leadership, mindfulness and boardroom skills across their MBA programmes.

Research shows that mindfulness is especially useful in the workplace to maximise productivity.  It can help avoid burnout and promote:

  • Overall wellbeing and stress management
  • Increased focus leading to decreased distraction
  • Active listening
  • Concentration and the ability to think clearly

The session will explore mindfulness techniques that will equip you with strategies to help manage daily stress and achieve a productive mindset.  You will learn short meditation practices which will be easy to take away and utilise any time.

Please note that this workshop is for voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisations operating in the Newcastle area.  This project is part- funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the North of Tyne Combined Authority as the lead authority, and also part-funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Connected Voice Sector Connector, supports businesses that want to make a positive difference in their local community by connecting them to VCSE organisations that are looking for help.  For VCSEs, Sector Connector offers the chance to benefit from in-kind support from local experts.
