Setting up your own Business: Taking the Final Steps to Self-Employment - Free Course for Women
The Millin Charity's Local Women Local Enterprise project supports women to set up their own businesses. This 4-week course is for women who have started to set up their own business and looking for support to get over the final hurdles. At the end of each session, you will walk away with the practical tools in place for running your own business
This course will cover:
- Legal requirements for running a business
- Business Insurance
- Financial planning – ensuring your business will make you money
- Bookkeeping systems & tools
- Registering your business
- How to complete a tax return
Participants will also have access to one-to-one advice and guidance alongside this course.

End Date: Wednesday 16 October 2024 10.00am-12.30pm
Duration: 4 x 2.5 hour workshops
Eligibility
- This course is available to women who live in Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside & Northumberland.
- This course is fully funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund – eligibility criteria may apply.
