THE TECH FESTIVAL FOR THE NORTH EAST
TechNExt festival returns to the North East week commencing 16 June 2025 to celebrate the region’s thriving technology sector.
TechNExt returns for its third year to shine a light on our region and showcase the depth and breadth of our blossoming tech sector. The festival highlights the message that the North East is a region passionate about supporting, developing and growing its tech sector for the benefit of everyone!
Last year saw over 3,000 attendees engage in more than 75 events across the North East. The programme includes a selection of curated events alongside a vibrant placed based community festival fringe to explore innovative or community projects.

16 June: Main Stage, Newcastle
17 June: Industry Dinner, North Tyneside
18 June: Tech Talent Live, Sunderland
19 June: Festival Party, Gateshead
20 June: Schools Challenge, South Tyneside
Introducing the NEW TechNExt Hubs!
New for 2025 are four, one-day festival hub locations spread across the region. Organisations will come together under one roof to share their content around a particular theme. This will make the 2025 festival more accessible and easier to engage with and digest what's on.
Applications for TechNExt Hub and fringe programme content will open in January so keep an eye out for more information.
