Delivered by Smarta, Gateshead Start-up Skills is all about ensuring start-ups, sole traders and freelancers in Gateshead get off to the best start with the right skills.
Smarta’s on-demand eLearning platform is the core offering of the programme, delivered with useful resources and online customer support. The eLearning platform covers all aspects of starting your business or self-employment, enabling you to learn about the startup process in your own time. Participating entrepreneurs can also apply for a grant of up to £1,000, which can be put towards your startup costs.
Gateshead Start-up Skills is delivered on behalf of Gateshead Council. It is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Eligibility: Pre-starts and start-ups in Gateshead only.
