uknica.co.ukWith our rich history of inventiveness and community spirit, we aim to combine citizen insights, business knowledge and design thinking to establish the North of Tyne region as an international leader in innovation for the Internet of Caring Things market.
The Internet of Caring Things programme runs initially for 5 years and is part-funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority.
What do we mean by Caring Things?
Devices and services that actively care for people and what matters to them. The Internet of Caring Things (IoCT) harnesses electronics, software, digital and data technologies to improve the lives of everyone. Connected objects that serve consumers’ most important needs.
Through our IoCT VOICE®community, we harness the intelligence, insights, wisdom, vision and experience of people. By sustaining ongoing conversations between generations, and co-designing, co-developing, and testing in real-world, real-time settings, we develop what is needed and wanted for happier, healthier lives.
What We Offer
We are working with companies to tap into emerging technologies and enable the broader development of IoT advances to benefit an ageing population.
