Creative UK are hosting a live pitch competition through the North of Tyne Culture and Creative Investment Programme, funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority. The successful company will be awarded up to £100k of equity finance after pitching to our panel of investors. 

Creative UK are looking for innovative creative sector-led businesses based in the North of Tyne to pitch live for equity investment. 

The live pitch will take place as part of the Creative UK Investment Summit North East on 27 September 2023 at Tyneside Cinema. Successful applicants will be invited to pitch and will receive complimentary tickets to the full event. The pitch will take place in front of an audience of around 100 people including a decision panel comprised of the North of Tyne Investment Committee.

Each pitch will last for 20 minutes with 5 minutes for the presentation and 15 minutes for questions from the panel. The winner of the pitch will be announced during an evening reception on the same day. Following the announcement of the winner, Creative UK’s investment team will work with the winner to clarify if any further due diligence or information is required to make the investment. Creative UK will also need to undertake some background checks on the business. The investment will be subject to Creative UK’s satisfaction of this further information.

Eligibility for applicants 

• Based in the North of Tyne (Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland)   
• Operating in the cultural or creative industries*  
• Looking for investment towards activity that meets the aims of the programme   
• Able to provide an investment deck with a compelling return on investment proposition   
• Available to pitch on the 27 September 2023 in person in Newcastle upon Tyne

Cultural and creative industries include: Visuals Arts, Performing Arts, Music Film, TV, Media, Immersive and Video Games, Advertising & Marketing, Digital Creative Tech, Creative Software Solutions, Fashion, Achitecture, Heritage, Publishing, Museums, Libraries and Galleries
