A one-of-a-kind summit on the challenges and opportunities presented by investment in the North East Creative Industries.

Over the past 10 years Creative UK has invested more than £50m into creative businesses across the UK, through funds including Creative Growth Finance and the North of Tyne Culture and Creative Investment Programme (CCIP). In the last four years, our investments have helped to create 290 new jobs and leverage further private investment of nearly £20m.

With both programmes announcing new funding to invest into the creative sectors, the time is right to explore what more can be done to support the UK regions’ thriving cultural and creative talent and businesses into the future.

Join Creative UK in Newcastle on 27 September 2023 as they convene cultural leaders, investors and businesses to discuss the opportunities for further investment into Creative Industries. Keynote speaker Lisa Opie (Ubisoft) will speak to the strengths, successes and lessons learned by the games sector in the North East.

Then, stay into the early evening for the launch of the new phases of the investment programmes, Creative Growth Finance and the North of Tyne Culture and Creative Investment programme. There will be networking, drinks and food all hosted in the creative hub of Newcastle’s independent Tyneside Cinema.

Their aim is to become the leading network for the creative industries with the mission of growing the economic, social and cultural value of the UK's creative economy.
