Northern Powergrid Decarbonisation Conference

As the electricity network operator for the Northeast, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, enabling decarbonisation across the region is a top priority for Northern Powergrid. Their role is to ensure that people and businesses, local government and industry, can achieve their net zero ambitions, whilst maintaining a safe and reliable electricity supply for the customers and communities we serve.

This conference will bring together representatives from the energy sector, local government and industry from across the region, to discuss how we can work together to address the challenges and opportunities decarbonising our region’s energy system will present.

Speakers will include Phil Jones, CEO of Northern Powergrid, who will outline how they are delivering on their ambitious plans to meet the future growth in energy demand and enable the low carbon transition and Paul Glendinning, Northern Powergrid’s Director of Energy Systems.

There will be a panel discussion on women driving decarbonisation. After lunch, attendees will have a choice of breakout sessions, which focus on what the future looks like for energy networks and our region, please indicate which of the sessions you would like to attend when booking.
