The fully funded TechXcelerate two-day event invites individuals, SMEs, and technologists to explore how 5G and immersive technology can help solve real challenges in sectors like manufacturing, construction, agriculture, and utilities.
Over the course of the sprint, you’ll take part in expert-led sessions, collaborative challenges, and concept development workshops, all leading to a final pitch to industry leaders. You'll choose between two focus areas:
- Smart Operations – using technology to make work more efficient, faster, and data-driven
- Connected Workforce – using digital tools to support, train, and connect people at work
Participants are welcomed from different backgrounds, and there are several ways to get involved. You can:
- Take part as an individual working solo
- Join as a tech SME bringing your idea or expertise
- Join as an industry SME with a challenge or interest in exploring tech
- Bring your team, or
- Be matched with others to form a new team
Cross-sector collaboration during the sprint is stronly encouraged. One of the aims of TechXcelerate is to create new relationships and partnerships between businesses — however, it is recognised that not everyone will want to share openly. That’s okay.
TechXcelerate follows an Open Innovation approach, which means ideas are shared in a collaborative environment, and no NDAs are in place. You choose what to share, and retain control of your own IP. If you're not comfortable collaborating, you're welcome to develop your idea independently — just put your preferences in the application form.
