The Expo Sunderland Challenge Programme brings communities and industry together to bring about solutions for Future City, Future Homes and Future Living.
What are the challenges?
The Expo Sunderland Challenge aims to showcase Sunderland’s potential as a vibrant city for living, working, learning, and business. It invites small and medium-sized enterprises in the area to propose solutions to key challenges:
- Challenge 1: Future Home – Develop greener, affordable homes for all Sunderland residents.
- Challenge 2: Future Living – Create initiatives that promote happier, healthier, and more connected communities, emphasising community engagement.
- Challenge 3: Future City – How we might realise the potential of Sunderland, utilising assets such as its position as a connected, smart city as well as its existing industrial base, infrastructure and environment.
How can I get involved?
Innovation SuperNetwork are aiming to stimulate the development of start-ups and scale-ups on Wearside with the opportunity to co-develop solutions and then showcase progress within the Expo Sunderland programme in 2025.
